We have the Canon 600EX-RT radio TTL now available to buy or hire.
You can leave your Pocket Wizards and Alien Bees in the Kit bag because today we have added the 600EX-RT to our rental range. The new speedlite from Canon has a built in 15 channel radio transceiver for TTL control using a Master flash on-camera or as a slave unit with the ST-E3-RT transmitter (coming soon) for perfect TTL transmission even in direct sunlight or without optical line of sight from Master to Slave.
In terms of power this flash is much the same as it’s predecessor the 580EX mark II, the guide number of 60 meters at 100 ISO is attained by the zoom now reaching 200mm and thereby giving a more concentrated beam of light.
Everything else has been redesigned. The LCD screen has more options and the button layout is very intuitive (as a Nikon user used to the SB-800 I’m impressed) and the custom function menu is clear and easy to navigate unlike the unhelpful number system on the 580EX mark II
LCDs shown in on-camera TTL, Master unit w. optical trigger, slave unit changes to yellow LCD (L to R)
The radio control has a range up to 30m which can control up to 15 slave units in 5 groups for controlling different levels of flash output.
The Master radio unit can also be used as a wireless camera trigger. On the new EOS 1Dx this will communicate via the hot shoe! On earlier camera models it will tiger via a cable from the flashgun to the N3 3-pin socket via the SR-N3 cable.
The flash is available to hire for £22/day or £88/week
We also have stock available to purchase for £506+VAT
Our 2-day try before you buy rental scheme is available for this product.
