Important: EOS Utility issue for Mac OS X 10.8
 
 
We have received an important notice from Canon UK that EOS Utility will not open in OS X 10.8.
 
If you use EOS Utility as part of your professional workflow on an Apple machine please do not upgrade to the latest version of the Apple Mountain Lion operating system.
 
Canon state that the EOS Utility programme will not start when using version 10.8. This is not a case of limited functionality but no functionality at all which could seriously hinder your working operation.
 
Canon will release an updated version of EOS Utility later in the year.
 
If you think this will affect you we recommend that you turn off automatic updates on your computer by clicking the apple icon,
selecting “system preferences” from the drop down menu,
selecting the “software update” icon
then make sure that the tick boxes are unchecked until Canon make their new release.
