Peter Nicholls has been a staff photographer for The Times newspaper since 1995 and primarily covers international news and conflict, and politics. As you would expect, his gallery contains some disturbing images of the effects of war on both the soldiers and protagonists, as well as the innocent victims and survivors.
Having been in Fleet Street since 1987, Peter has been nominated for and won many Photographic Awards for his work.
Despite the human tragedy he has observed in his career, and the personal dangers he faces almost daily as he goes about his work, Peter remains dedicated to chronicling the otherwise unseen human suffering and sacrifice that result from nations, religions and tribes fighting for power or survival. His powerful pictures speak for themselves.
Peter says "Because of the nature of my work, I’ve often had some last-minute kit crises before leaving London to cover these stories. Fixation have always risen to the challenge and have never let me down."
