VIDEO ACCESSORIES
We have always made this claim and meant it, but what does it mean in practice? We have two teams of technicians, one Canon and one Nikon, who can strip down and put back together any of our cameras and lenses at the slightest hint of a problem, but then there are the extras we do for our equipment:
Taking Canon’s EOS 5D Mark II as an example:
All our 5D Mark II bodies have their shutters replaced after 80,000 activations which is significantly less than the 100,000 Canon recommended
activations thereby significantly reducing the risk of a fault occurring due to wear and tear.
All of these bodies have had their mode selector dials replaced with the new lockable version.
Half of our bodies now have EG-S screens which Canon recommends for lenses with an aperture wider than f2.8. So when you hire a body and lenses
from us, you can get a body with the right screen for your kit.

We believe that everyone should be able to obtain the right kit for the job. We pride ourselves in having the most well cared for equipment around and as such take measures to ensure this quality is received by all of our customers.
To open a rental account there are a series of requirements for first time rentals, we will need to see one from each of the following;
Photo ID
- eg. Current Passport, Photo Driving Licence, NUJ Card
Proof of Address
- eg. Bank/Credit card statement, Council Tax Bill, Gas/Electric Bill
These should be within the last 3 months.
Mobile phone bills & driving licence are NOT accepted as proof of address.
Deposit - for the full value of the equipment on your first hire.
For first time rentals we require the equipment to be collected in person so that we may verify the information given. We reserve the right to take whatever measures we see fit to verify the identity of persons booking and collecting hire equipment, we may make ID checks before releasing rentals, no matter how long you've had a rental account with us.
After the first rental we can begin to send equipment via our London courier service or other arrangements should they be needed.
Fixation reserve the right to ask for a deposit in certain situations.
