The Q-Flash is now in its 5th generation! This is a compact but powerful flash unit, which is powered either by Turbo batteries (T model) or by Quantum’s Q-Paq battery system (X model). The Q-Flash has a fully interchangeable reflector system similar to that of studio flash units. It can be used in full TTL control by either dedicated TTL adapters (Nikon/Canon/etc) or by wireless Q-Nexus units which are compatible with Canon and Nikon’s own wireless TTL control systems. In manual the output is variable from Full to 1/64th power in third stop increments. Wireless TTL control is also available by using the FreeXWire radio system.

Quantum battery packs have become an indispensable accessory for the professional photographer who needs fast recycling and high capacity.
Quantum make three product lines: BATTERY PACKS, QFLASH and FREEXWIRE
QB1+, QB1COMPACT and QB2, are low voltage battery packs that replace the normal batteries by connecting into the battery compartment of the flash unit.
TURBO, TURBO COMPACT, TURBO T3 and TURBO SLIM COMPACT batteries supply high voltage power and connect into a special high voltage in-put socket that can be found on all professional flash units such as the Nikon SB800 and Canon 580EX, whilst the display and other functions are powered by normal batteries. The Turbo range offers the ULTIMATE in flash-recycling times: from 1 second at full power! Many digital cameras can also be powered by Quantum batteries.
The range consists of:-
TURBO with one outlet socket, can be used with splitter cable to power 2 flashes or camera bodies.
TURBO COMPACT with two outlet sockets, one for flash power and one for powering a camera, attaches to the base of the camera via the tripod socket whilst using a short cable or can be used on belt or in backpack with longer cable.
TURBOT3 with two lockable outlet sockets, can be used to power 2 cameras, 2 flashes, or one of each, as the sockets are “smart” and can recognise the voltage output required. Uses NiMH cells, is lighter and longer-lasting than the original Turbo.
TURBO SLIM COMPACT with one outlet socket. Can be used with splitter cable to power 2 flashes, not suitable to power camera bodies, is very small and light and comes with detachable belt-clip.

We have a specialist team of fully-trained Quantum technicians who can repair all Quantum products (Q-Paq and some RadioSlave repairs need to be returned to the Factory, facilitated through the UK distributor with great efficiency!) When battery cells are replaced, we impose a battery recycling charge of £3 to cover our costs in disposing of the old cells in an environmentally responsible manner.
