Fixation at the Frontline Club – Screening + Q&A | SAVA

Join us for an exclusive screening of SAVA followed by a Q&A session with writer & producer Matthew Somerville on Monday June 19th at the Frontline Club.
SAVA is a river movie, a documentary film and a 990 km journey through countries once united under the umbrella of Yugoslavia. In this film nature has a voice (Mira Furlan), conversing with her people together they explore a complex relationship between nature, identity and nationhood revealed in unscripted interviews recorded along the river’s length.
About Matthew Somerville:
Matthew studied Press and Editorial Photography at Falmouth University before starting to experiment with moving image letting images move within the frame. For the last 10 years he has been working as a filmmaker on long form documentary projects which aim too dissolve stereotypes and give people a voice, often searching for things that bring us together where media and politics seek too divide.
Matthew works with Sony filmmaking equipment having made the move from DSLR cameras for photography and filmmaking. The Fixation and Wex Photo Video team will have the latest video focussed Sony cameras and lenses available to try at the Frontline Club including the FX30 and FX6.
