UK Picture Editors’ Guild Award 2019 Winners

Monday 9th March saw the industry gather to celebrate the 2019 UK Picture Editors’ Guild Awards at the Prestigious Honourable Artillery Company Headquarters. Fixation has been a sponsor of the awards for many years and it was great to see many of our customers winning accolades on the night.

Donal presented the Fixation News Photographer of the Year Award. This year it was won by Tolga Akmen, a London based Freelance Press Photographer whose work you will surely have have seen at some point. If not, it is certainly worth having a look at his site:

Winners from The Press Association: Victoria Jones, Iconic Images Royal Photographer of the Year Winner, and Danny Lawson, Genesis Regional Photographer of the Year, stand with Martin Keene, PA Group Picture Editor.

Richard Pohle for The Times picked up the Dave Benett Arts and Entertainment Photographer of the Year.
